Windows 7 - Card Reader not detected

Dear All,

Kindly advice for the problem I faced. My OS is Windows 7 32 bit and on OS Vista, the card reader is working properly. After upgrade to Windows 7 the hardware stopped working and undetected. My platform is Acer Aspire 4935G; CPU Core 2 Duo P8400; 4GB RAM 553hz.

Driver software has been downloaded and run, but not detect the hardware.

Even though it doesn't work, does the card reader appear in the Device Manager? If not, under the Action menu button, select Scan For Hardware Changes (for this option to appear, highlight the computer name at the top of the list) and see if it appears then. Usually, if a driver can't see the hardware, it is because it is not listed in the Device Manager. Not being listed can be due to a bad connection or defective hardware.

Thanx for the advice. It seems, I need to run the installation program from Acer's website. Initially, i'v done that but still my card reader does not exist in hardware list but accidentally, when I shut down my notebook and restart it back, it automatically detect and install the driver.

The hardware working properly and now its running smoothly. Thanks again for your support.
