Wireless Adapter On but Off, and Off but On

Hi, I upgraded to Windows 7 on an Acer Aspire 9302AWSMi. It has a Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter which works fine, apart from the fact that the button to enable it is off, the lights accompanying it are off as well. Now if I turn the button to "On" so that the lights are on and flashing, the adapter turns off. So basically the switch is configured the wrong way round. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling etc but can't seem to get it to work the correct way around.

    Any ideas?

I think you may need some Acer software for that button to work correctly. Have you tried updating/repairing the Acer software?

Acer don't have anything on their website for this machine and Windows 7, i've just updated it through windows update and am still at the same point with it turned "off" to work.

I've now spent some considerable time trying to fix this without success, any ideas would be much appreciated. I found the driver backup disc that I created when I first bought the laptop but reinstalling from there doesn't seem to make any difference either. These are all obviously Vista drivers (32bit) but fixed another issue with the Orbicam so vista drivers do seem to help in some cases.
