Laptop screen glitch

So recently i have been having this lovely Fuzzy colorful dots streaming up and down my screen when i do this:

Keep in mind my computer is a laptop.
When my computer goes to sleep without the power cord plugged into it,
if I then plug the power cord into my laptop and bring it out of sleep the colorness begins and wont go away until either i restart my computer or put it back into sleep unplug the power cord then bring it back out of sleep, then i can plug the power cord in.

Any ideas why this is happening and how i can fix it. I have tried going back on video drivers and software to no avail i have tried reverting any windows modifications i have done no difference. I've also tried disabling aero.

I also attached some pictures of how it looks on my screen when it does it.
Here is a video: YouTube - DSCN6181
Thanks for reading

Maybe you should explain the anomoly a little clearer. I can't begin to imagine what that looks like other than to ask, is it a screen saver going off?

Heh a picture is worth a thousand words

Ok from that picture it's most likely a crashed video driver. /slight/ possibility of a hadrware problem, maybe due to heat.

A lot of drivers do not survive sleep well. You can try updating yur video drivers.

There are other cases where putting the compuer to sleep causes the GPU to get extremely hot becase the fan is shut off too soon or does not come back on after resume. You can install spoftware to monitor the GPU temperature (ususaly from the video chip manufactuer) to check of it's that. But it seems most likely that the video driver is simply not surviving being put to sleep.

Hmm i tried going back a version and it still did it. what would you recommend?

Guess what, I just got it working. This is what I did.
I uninstalled my graphics controller, AND deleted its files, i uninstalled it once before but didnt delete the files.
I then hunted down my specific graphics controller on intels site, downloaded it re installed. Now its working. Hope it stays that way. Thanks for at least convincing me to try again.
