Internal Hard Drive Installation (Help)

I'm adding an extra hardrive to my PC -2TB hardrive (WD20EADS) to use as one large partition for storage to exclusively hold my mkv 1080p movies which range from 6-16 GB each. With this in mind, what allocation unit size should I format the drive with? I was advised 64kb clusters. Is this best? Before loading hardrive up with movies I understand I should run western digital utility- extend zeroes/smart test error checking first. Anything else I should know to setup hardrive? All jumpers should be off of harddrive right?

When you format it, just leave the wizard at default. I have never heard of many problems.

If your drive is SATA you don't need jumpers on the drive.

All the best. Here's my video just in case you need to watch it (about setting up a new drive)

If possible, I would use the drive for maybe 100 hours, giving it a good workout copying various files to it before committing your movies. If drives are going to fail, they have a tendency to fail early in their lifespan. If you are one of the unlucky ones, it's better to find that out when nothing critical is on the drive.

Karlsnooks:
My other thread was for my laptopts hardrive, This one is for my desktop PC that I have yet to install. I posed specific questions in both threads with exception to cluster file size. I thought ideal cluster size might differ for each drive respectfully.

Accept the defaults. The key here is heat - make sure there is enough air in your case so the HDD doesn't choke. I would have chosen Seagate instead of Western Digital, but that's your choice. You should also run the Short DST of Seagate Seatools to rule out preliminary errors.
