3ware 9650se or 9690sa working with Win 7 x64?

I'm thinking of building a new Windows 7 x64 system with one of these cards. It'll be 4+ 1.5TB or 2TB SATA drives in a RAID-5 config. 3ware claims that with the latest drivers, 32-bit & 64-bit Windows 7 is supported. I'm just curious if anyone already has this setup & can confirm that it works with x64? Also, how's the performance?

I'll be moving away from an Intel ICH8R "Matrix RAID" setup under XP Pro 32-bit, which drops a drive every few days, I force a rebuild, it works fine for a few more days, then repeat (the RAID hardware/chip is probably going bad). Thanks!
