Windows 7 - Problems outputting video onto Plasma TV

Hi, this is my first time using a forum so bare with me please.

I used to have Windows XP as my Operating System. Then I changed it to Windows 7 about 2 weeks ago. I used to regularly connect my Laptop to my Plasma TV (Samsung HD 42") to watch movies and other videos using a VGA cable. However since changing my Operating System to Window 7 I am not able to do this. When I connect to my TV using the same method I don't receive any signals.

Has anyone encountered the same problem? Suggestions to my problem are welcome.

Any chance you could fill out your spec in full pal ... just so as we could get a better chance at trying to figure out your probs ... thanks

Plug it in and then auto tune or reset the tv. 7 should detect the plugged in screen. Is this an ATI or Nvidia card?
