USB PORT not working

Hello everyone!

My uncle recently reprogrammed my computer because it was old and he reprogrammed everything and installed Windows 7. Before the change the usb ports worked fine but now when i plug anything in to the usb ports it's not reading. I've tried going to MY COMPUTER and seeing if the device pops up in the "Device with Removable Storage" area but nothing shows up there as well. I don't know much about computers so I'd greatly appreciate any help given. Thanks Guys!!

Have you tried other usb ports on the computer, if so, update the smbus driver through device manager.

Can you post a screenshot of your device manager?

I found a program which is user friendly and very nice for finding drivers for just about anything... check out DriverMax ... Well worth the look... GL
