| | IR receiver works for Vista, W7-32 not Win7-64 Laptop Toshiba Satelite X205-SLi6 This laptop has a built in IR receiver with an RC6 Toshiba remote. It works great with Vista 32 ultimate and Windows-7 32bit ultimate and plays media software well. Since Windows-7 64bit does not detect the IR receiver hardware so the Toshiba drivers will not install even though the drives are marked 32/62 bit. Please, someone at Microsoft tell me why Win-7 64bit installer does not recognize the IR hardware. No, it is not in the list of Hardware devices. |
