should be: C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository
By default the everyone group should be added to this folder with the proper rights... but if you wish to use the guest I would add that acount as well.
Would it be possible to create a 2ndary account for this user instead of using the "guest" account?
I can try that. I like the guest account because how its more restricted than a standard user account. I dont know group policy that well at all to restrict things in more specific ways. The guest account can't install programs, etc. Maybe I'll try deleting the guest account and re-enabling the guest account.
Standard user accounts can't install programs either. The only problem with guest accounts is that they're strictly temp accounts and you can't really modify things for the guest accounts.
for troubleshooting sake, i would test a standard account on that machine to see if it can print. After that, we may find certain tricks to get that guest account to print.
ok now I'm just curious to see if it's your OS completely. Please elevevate that 2ndary account into a power user or administrative mode.
Made a "test" account. Made it administrator. Print button is enabled.
So seems like any non-admin account cannot print.
from this machine only, right? I thought i remembered you saying that you had other computers with standard or guest accounts that were able to print, is that correct?
