    recommended power supply wattage

I have a 400w power supply in my current pc and was wondering if it would be sufficient enough to run this motherboard using the on-board video card.

Ran the test, included the 3 huge fans of the case i might get. It didnt have the Radeon HD 4200 on the list so i chose the HD 4550 and 2 sticks of DDR3 memory. With all of that it only recommends a 178w PSU.

So i guess 400w should be enough.

If you plan to never add a graphics card that consumes a lot of power, 400W should be ample. (I doubt that you'd add a 300W graphics card to a microATX based system, but it might be possible, if it's not in a microATX case.)

The only reason to replace your PSU is if it's a piece of junk, which could fail any time and take most of the PC's components with it.

I plan on putting a better video card in it later on as well as a better power supply, this is just to hold it temp till i have more funds. I will only be using it for web browsing till i get it upgraded.
