    Where can I get DDR3?

I recently found out that my laptop supports DDR3. I installed Hwinfo and was exploring the features of the program(Great Program!) and noticed that my Motherboard supports DDR3. Im thinking about upgrading from DDR2 to DDR3, but my question is where can I buy DDR3?
    DDR3 Frequency Support 400MHz (DDR3-800)
FSB Frequency Support 200MHz (800 QDR)
    Max Render Core 400MHz
If you need more information please ask

    It support both DDR2 & DDR3?

With DDR3, it really will only be a benefit if you can get DDR3 1333 or higher.

In the 800/1066 range, DDR2 will perform better due to lower latencies.

But to answer your question, any online retailers such as Newegg, Tigerdirect.
Sometimes stores such as Bestbuy carry some.

Should be able to get from any online retailer. But are you sure??? I've never seen DDR3 Frequency Support 400MHz (DDR3-800)... that's a DDR2 speed I believe. What the make and model of your lappy?

Many techies love newegg for their low prices and fast shipping.

Not having any rig with triple channel memory, all I can say is it's best to add a matched set of 3 sticks (if your laptop supports)... with DDR2 is was a matched pair.

are you sure it runs both ddr2 and ddr3? and are you also sure that you're not running ddr3 already?

DDR3 and DDR2 for desktops are both 240 pin sticks... so they fit!

It would be pretty hard to plug 204 pins into 200 on the laptop.

If OP will post his/her laptop make and model we can look this up. But I am also leary of the
    400MHz (DDR3-800)
and think hwinfo may be mis-reporting.

I am not an expert with RAM. Though, what has been said already is true for the most part.

DDR2 RAM sticks for laptops use 200 pins while DDR3 RAM sticks for Laptops use 204 pins. While I'm sure you could fit a DDR2 stick into a DDR3 slot, I don't think thats how it works.

That program may be giving a false reading, bear in mind. Every program has its quirks. If you live nearby a BestBuy I suggest bringing your laptop into it and asking their GeekSquad if it truly does support DDR3. Better to know for sure before buying it. Trust me, you don't want to have to return something you bought online. Its a hassle. :)
