i have 1000$ to spend on a new pc.
what i have at the moment.
i want to buy the hardware piece by piece ,and to assemble it at home. because it's much more cheapper :).
i have a 17' monitor,don't know if it's okay for a 1000$ pc,but you guys make the wishlist with monitor,then another wishlist without new monitor,and i'll think about it :).

hi kvll, it does'nt always work out cheaper to diy , major pc manfs have better buying power so can buy in bulk, decide what you want in a pc ,then check the retailers ,see what they offer in your price range :)
It mainly depends on what you plan to use the machine for, what chip manufacturer you prefer etc.
Until we know that, we could suggest everything and anything.
