Which Hard drive Shall i get!?

    I'd recommend an external hard drive. I'm guessing you have enough space for your operating system & programs. That's all you really need on your main drive. All media/documents/storage can be put on an external disk. They're cheap nowadays too. You can pick up a 1TB external for about $100. If you're looking for something more portable, there are external hard drives that can be powered by two usb ports. (One usb port if it's high powered, but most laptop ports aren't.)

    Can you get ata to sata adaptors for laptops?

    The harddrive on here is slow and pretty much broken...
    I was running xp with a constant 1gb paging file because i only had 256mb ram..
    It needs scraping!

    what about this one Garrett Samsung 160 GB 8M IDE Hard Drive + FREE ENCLOSURE on eBay (end time 05-May-10 12:19:53 BST) with a free enclosure, you could put your old hard drive in it and use as a backup
