    USB Mouse question

Pardon me if I do not use the right descriptions but I don't have the screen to look at and am going from memory.
On a premature/loss of power- shut down a black DOS start-up screen comes up to select the method desired to restart. My USB mouse will not work and I have to wait to the timer count down for it to start in the normal start mode. I am thinking that it would work with a PS2 mouse... or that there may be a setting in Windows 7 to force the USB mouse option??
    Thanks much

The mouse will not work on the DOS screen. This is normal, it's not just you. As Pebbly says use the arrow and enter keys on your keyboard
