Sata Dvd drives Freeze system

    Sata Dvd drives Freeze system


    both my sata dvd writers optiarc Ad-7201s fw 1.09 and optiarc ad7241s fw 1.02 both crash my windows 7 ver 7600 x64 but my ide drive works fine ive tryed other sta drives but still does the same.can anyone help? thanks.

    please fill out your system specs, by going to your 'user cp', and then 'edit system spec', so that we can help you better...

    most importantly, what motherboard do you have?

    Try going to their manufacturers website and upgrading the firmware. Also please fill out your system specs in your user cp. it will help to know all your hardware. Thanks and welcome to sevenforums. Fabe( edit Ouch Mickey beat me to the punch)

    thats me updated my computer specs if that helps. i have updated the firmware on my dvd drives. the optiarc ad-7241s now works but takes forever to load, the optiarc ad-7201s still crashes windows. thanks for your help

    as soon as i eject the CD tray and the problem's gone
