If you install Windows right on top of the existing installation, your user data and program files will be backed up to Windows.old, in the root directory of the partition (C:\). However, your programs will not be saved.

Well I mean with retaining all of that stuff..

but that might save my problematic pieces of OS, causing the keyboard to fail again.

I believe what you are thinking of is a repair install.

Let us know how it works out. :)

    Well, I would, but:

Would my webserver and networking settings be intact?
Will all of my documents, and otherwise data be intact?
Will I have issues with my iTunes library (for syncing my phone)?

And how can I do this without being able to get into windows?

no, but u can keep those backed up.
    here some tips:

make a folder for ur documents on other drive.
back up all ur docs there
    now
START MANU> Right click on DOCUMENTS>properties
u will see ur default "MY DOCUMENTS" folder there. Select and remove it.
    now click
INCLUDE A FOLDER and point it to ur backup folder.

do same for MUSIC, Images, Videos.

    now. u can format ur c:\ a 100times.
just revise these after a new setup.

    about ur internet setting,

in start manu type "Network and sharing center"
click on "Network and sharing center"
    Click "Change Adapter Settings"
ur lan will be shown on the "network connections" window

    Right click on it >properties
Double Click on "internet protocol version 4"
get an screen-shot by pressing PRINT SCREEN/SysRQ button from ur keyboard. :P
save it on a different drive or folder other than C:\

    HARD way. eh'
