    help pci card wont work new to here


    hi all am new here and new to windows 7, i have put a pci tv card wintv 44005 card in my pc and installed drivers then it still says can not find the card ive been trying for hours now and dont have a clue what am doing lol thankyou for any help

    hi bell123 here is a link to the manfs drivers Hauppauge Computer Works : Support its an old card so you will have to install the drivers in compatibility mode for XP Compatibility Mode ,i wish you luck with the install :)

    hi i have dont that and still getting errors one is can not build filtergraph, and also win tv initialization error htv=0 and a few others

    i think it will be very difficult to get this card working in win7, as i said its a very old card known as a legacy card now the last drivers issued for it was for windows XP and if you have already tried in compatibility mode and it did'nt work, then i'm afraid there is not alot you can do, very sorry about that

    bell123, if you only want to use the card for watching TV and dont want the record and capture utilities, you could always download one of the free TV software apps Zattoo .tv is very good UK: Zattoo launches latest UK channel line-up | Zattoo - watch online TV hope that helps you

    thankyou i only want it for watching tv but i carnt run it on the internet to watch tv as am on a pay as you go dongle

    is it possible for you to buy a more up to date usb tv adaptor ? they are quite cheap on Ebay :)
