Windows 7: Asus A8N-SLI Se Raid Problem

I have an Asus A8N-SLI SE motherboard with Windows7 installation on on a single IDE drive. I setup two SATA Maxtor 300 gig drives in a mirrored raid in the system bios. The system bios see the two dives as a single 300 gig raid (Mirror)


Windows 7 see the Nvidia Gforce Raid Controller under Storage Controllers bit it also see the two Maxtor drives separately under diskdrives. (It does not see the drives as a single mirrored drive)

Under Disk Management Windows7 will allow me to initialize the drives but the moment I create a new mirrored volume it will kill the raid setup in the bios

Any advice on how I can overcome this problem?
