Windows 7: WinTV PVR 350 on Windows 7 x64?

Got an email from Hauppauge over a year ago stating that my PVR 350 would not play well with any CPU with more than one core. Not directly related to the OP, but - if true - worth bearing in mind.

Well, it personally drives me crazy when I read posts about people who resolve their issue without posting how/what they did, I figured I'd update this thread.
I never got the ol' 350 working on Windows 7 64 bit, and I didn't want to revert to the 32 bit version since I have 8GB of RAM installed. So, I purchased a HVR 2250 which works fine on Windows 7 64 and plays nice with the cable box I have it hooked up to as well.
