USB to Serial cable not working
I have HP laptop with windows 7 64bit home premium on it, I got a prolific usb to serial converter as the driver was listed as being Windows 7 compatable.
I installed it and the driver loaded ok, all looked good, I set the com port (7) in the 32bit program I was running to the com port the usb had been allocated, all looked ok, but the DTR signal keeps going on and off every 30 seconds or so, the program I am running should be able to control this signal, but the program has no control at all, it just keeps going on and off.
The OS says the driver is ok and the port is working, but it isn't, any pointers would be apreciated.
