Consider replacing your battery error
This happened about a week ago. I was studying for a test and for some reason the library didn't have power in the outlets. So eventually my laptop shut down after reaching a certain percentage for battery life. I had to turn my computer on to get numbers from a document and it gave my some warning before I turned it on saying the battery was low. Whatever, I turned it on for about 2 minutes and then powered it down. After getting home, charging it up and turning it on I suddenly get the message that my battery needs to be replaced. My laptop is almost 2 years old, but the battery was still able to get about 3 hours on powersaver and lower screen brightness. Even while I have this message I still get over an hour and a half with full screen brightness on balanced. Normally I wouldn't care if it told me to replace my battery, but this message has prevented me from being able to see how much time I have left for my battery.
Of course I can replace my battery, but I doubt that this is the issue because it was fine one minute and not fine the other and I want to wait a bit longer to get a new one if I can. I know that this has been a problem with other people and I wanted to know if anyone has found a solution. I really just want my computer to tell me how much time I have left without running some other application. Suggestions?
