Windows 7: Short Stroking SSDs

Short Stroking SSDs

I have seen over at OCZ, they are testing short stroking (over provisioning) on ssds.
General Discussion Short stroking to add nand for over provisioning can help keep SSD working fast....we can do this thru FW if you guys want it?

Initally this was done by intel ssd users, gives controller more empty nands to work with, when dealing with "trash files". Doesn't give a speed boost, but maintains read speeds.

Just wondering if any ssd users here have tried this and have an opinion one way or the other.
