Problem in record a disc

Hi everyone,
i have a problem that i dont know if its the drive of cd/dvd or the software i am using.

Once in windows 7 i try to record a disc copy a dvd direct to other dvd and it works perfectly. Since yesterday i am trying to record a dvd with dataof my computer and dont work. I do the process normally and it shows "Burn successful" but when i put again the dvd on my laptop the disc is empty.

i hope someone can help me

P.S. I have tryed with nero 7, 8 (i dont remember the version and Power2Go)

At this point I'd look at your recorder and see if it is having issues - try using it on another machine....

i`m not sure but i think the problem is on the dvds or exists some incompatiblity between this dvds and the dvd record because i try to write a cd and it records with no problem. besides, on my pc (i have windows xp) some of this dvds that i have record on that pc, dont read.
what you think?
