BIOS/Hard Drive issue
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-UD2H rev 1.1
Hard drive's are both SATA's: western digital 1.0TB and a Segate barracuda 250GB.
Ram: Kingston DDR3 1333 4GB
Video Card: Geforce 9500 GT
Power supply and case: Cooler Master/750w
Here is the situation. When I turn on the system it goes through the bios display showing that I have one or the other or both HD and DVD connected. As it's going through it stops at the VERIFYING DMI POOL DATA..... AMD DATA CHANGE... UPDATE NEW DATA TO DMI. And there it hangs up and does nothing.
I have gone through the trouble shooting chart in the manual and found that if I disconnect the SATA cable for the HD the system goes on to display this message: DISK BOOT FAILURE. INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER.
To me it sounds like there is an issue with the SATA drives. But both!! I think I don't have the bios setup properly. I have also reset the bios. The HD's are both good and have been used on other systems with now problems, and MB is brand new.
Surprisingly I can install win 7 or run a disk manager to the HD but I can't boot from them after installing OS.
What am I doing wrong??
