    Power problem

I have had a problem with my PC recently. It got cut off completly. The only thing I was able to do was to see the startup screen for win 7. The weirdest thing of all this was that I haven't got any blue screens or errors since this one. I'm considering if something very basical isn't configuered the right way in my power options for the bios.

Can you see the bios screen on startup? can you boot into safe mode (F8)?

Yes, I can see the bios setup.. but I'm such a newbee when it comes to power settings. And yes I'm able to boot into safe mode now,,, because I've had a reinstall

As far as I know my power settings are configuered right, but I don't know with win 7... The settings are
these: acpi apic support enabled, acpi 2.0 support enabled.

I've read it, but I'm still confused, isn't it neccessary to change something in the bios?
