Problems with new sound card

Hi there,

i've a problem with my new sound card: everytime i stream a movie on the internet i hear a strange noise. when i watch a video which is saved on my own computer it doesn't appear. Some guy in another forum told me that it's because my Wi-Fi USB flash drive (USB controller) uses the same IRQ than the PCI slot of my sound card. But now i put the card in another slot and it's still happening, even though there are now no more other devices on this new IRQ.

Does anyone have a clue, what the problem is?

Sound card: Speed-Link SL-8871-SRD-A, 7.1 PCI Audio Card
OS: Windows 7
Driver: newest Win 7 driver
example of the failure (was recorded with an external mic): http://schrepfer.bplaced.net/test.wav

best wishes

Something is running high in the backgroung, such an AV...check your System Manager and see all the process.

The problem didn't exist before the new card, right?

I suggest returning the card and getting a replacement.

+1 This sounds like a bad sound card (pun intended)

You might want to plug the older card and see if it's still happenning, to be sure before returning the new card if it's defective.
