You don't even need that software. go to Run and type dxdiag. it will show you complete list of hardwares and its drivers.

Speccy is another that will show that information,

Speccy - System Information - Free Download

Best way to find out though is to just pull one of the ticks of ram out and get the info off of it that way.

Great if all he wants to know how much ram he has, but dxdiag won't show you what kind of ram it is.

Speccy, CPU-Z or any one of the other free system specs software. If your PC is branded(HP,Dell, Acer or any other PC manufacturer) you could go to their support website for your model # and find out there without installing any software on your PC.

May sound like a silly question, but is the ram already installed in your pc? If not, look at the sticker on the ram... If it doesn't say specifically, google the numbers on the sticker to see what comes up.

If the ram is installed, try cpu-z
