Did you see if you could use it anyway? Same thing happened to me when I connected my phone to my PC (8GB micro sdhc card). I got a message stating that I had to format the card before use, but I pushed Cancel and was able to read and write to the card no problem.[/QUOTE]

Tried that also to no avail. Says there is no disc please insert blah blah....

As I said earlier, does it only show that you have 1gb of storage? Or are you actually limited to putting 1gb of data on it?

Yes, it only allows 1gig of info to be put on and it only show 1gig in drive manager. Anything over 1gig Win tells me there is not enough room on the disk and stops writing to the disk.
I have been trying since I started this thread to try and find an answer and there has been none as of yet.

Does this happen for all SD cards? Or just this one in specific?

Are you able to try a live CD, and just check that your system can read beyond 1GB without W7 being in the way.

Also, check your pagefile location. Sounds totally bizarely unrelated, but the size makes me suspicious.

Lastly, stick it into the other PC, share it, and see what size W7 thinks it is, and what it will let you store over the network.
