    BluRay/DVD/CD Disk Won't Show Files in Windows 7 64-Bit?

I have Windows 7 64-Bit, all updated. I have a bluray writer/reader. Windows can run the auto setup but cannot "Open in New Window" or "Open" to view files inside the disk. Just won't open even after I click "Open in New Window" or "Open."

I have tried about 30 disks (bluray, cdr, cdrw, dvd, etc) and none has worked and all are valid disks.

    Any ideas?

I have a dumb idea. Put an otherwise known good disk in your PC and wait at least five minutes, maybe ten. I know this sounds nuts.

I have one PC, it's a new MSI AIO with a cool multitouch screen running Windows 7. If I pop in a DVD, it can take minutes before it decides there's a DVD in there and decide to play it. If I put that same DVD in one of my HTPC boxes running Windows 7 Media Center, I can't get my hand off the drive tray fast enough, it's just playing it. Windows 7 can be annoying about noticing certain things in a timely manner under certain conditions.

    Bye.
