Smart scrolling gone

I think "smart scrolling" is the right term. My laptop's touchpad has a vertical and a horizontal line that can be used to scroll up and down, or side to side, on webpages by dragging a finger across them. After replacing Vista with Win 7 this functionality disappeared. Does anybody know what settings to use to restore it? Thanks.

Hi larryq22,

Sounds like a driver issue. I don't see Windows 7 drivers for your laptop on Dell.com, but have you tried the Vista 32-bit one for Touchpad / Pointing stick? I know you already had Vista installed but try it anyway: Drivers & Downloads

Thanks Walker. I downloaded the file and so far so good. Haven't had odd problems typing, so I'm crossing my fingers that they're gone for good. Larry

Glad it's working for you so far Larry. Let me know if it continues to give you problems and we'll reinvestigate.
