    Windows 7 Plug & Play OS Bios Setting

    Since I'm running Windows 7, should I set my bios setting to: Plug & Play O/S yes, or no?

    From what I've read, that's only for earlier versions of Windows like Windows 95. Windows 7 just ignores it and does what it wants anyway... I leave mine at the default setting of No.

    Set it to no. Choosing No means the BIOS will configure settings. This is a legacy setting for 95 and 98. Default will be no. A Guy

Plug and Play Crashing

So I recently just fixed a BSOD error and haven't had a problem since. Now I get this message that randomly comes up saying "Windows must now restart because the Plug and Play service terminated unexpectedly." I have no idea where to even start with this. Just in case I have attached what a BSOD...
Suppress Plug and Play UI

Is there anything in Windows 7 that will suppress the UI pop-ups when a new device is attached to a computer? There was something like it in XP. See this: Hotfix adds new functionality to suppress Plug and Play-related UI messages in Windows Server 2003 or in Windows XP.
I have two items in device manager under Non-Plug and Play drivers that are grayed out and not in use. They are hc3ServiceName and FS_Rec. What were these drivers used for and is it OK to uninstall them?
