    HP J4580 Software Install Problems

    Hello, Everyone!!
I'm writing as I have had trouble with my HP J4580 printer's software, and had downloaded the recent version 13. 0. It will complete a lot of the steps successfully, but when it comes to the driver it'll say "No driver Found," and won't finish installing the software. Though checking device manager it says " device working properly," and I guess, by going to Hardware & Devices and double clicking the printer icon and choosing to print from the Win 7 window it will, but to use the supplied software with my printer is frustrating as far as setup is concerned. Any ideas as to what I can do prior to installing the software?

Any help will be greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance!

Send OSHOLT a PM. He specializes in printer problems and has helped many.
In the meantime go to HP.com and pull up your printer and see if they have drivers and software for your type of printer.
I didn't read your specs but are you using Win 7 32 or 64bit setup?

Oops. I see you are using Vista.
Still do a search in hp.com for your stuff and get back to us if you need to.

I've never installed an HP all-in-one on a Win7 system. (What OS are you actually using?)

If it's like a printer, though, you're supposed to start the installer with the device disconnected, and only connect it when the installer requests it. There also may be a checkbox to install the drivers without having the printer attached at all. (The driver installation completes when you connect the printer.)

    Thank You!

    Hello, Everyone!!
Just a quick note to say thank you very much for all of your help. I am actually using Wn 7, but had put Vista back on to see if the printer would respond the same way. I found that it was an easy setup with Vista, but not until the other day did i try to update it with service pack 1 and then upgrade to keep my settings in tact!FINALLY,lol, after everything was updated...I took my Win 7 driver disk hoping this time it would complete every step with out much hassle, and this time it did!

So in short it could've been fixed sooner if I racked my brain more, but again the advice was very appreciated thanks!

    Have an awesome week!
