Windows 7: odd trackpad issue with trackpad

i have a dell Inspiron 1440 running on windows 7. whenever i either start or wake from sleep, the trackpad has a situation where the left click become the right click and the right click does nothing. I have to crrl+alt+del task manager and then close the window out to get the mouse back to normal. I checked and im on the most updated version of windows. Please help with this annoying problem.

for such kind of problems sometimes a driver update works.
u can open ur device manager and then by chhosing the mouse u can update its driver online..
