    Windows 7 driver for Gigaraid GA-8I955X Pro


    Hi,

    I have encountered problems trying to install Win7 (32 bit) with the GA-8I955 Pro motherboard. No drivers are detected for the motherboard during the Win7 install. I have tried putting the Gigaraid drivers for XP and Vista on a floppy and booting from this - but no luck. There does not appear to be any driver available fro Win 7 for my motherboard. Does anyone know of a solution?

    You can use the Vista drivers ... install them using compatibility mode. ... Compatibility Mode

    Thanks - but there are no ATA drivers listed on the gigabyte website (GA-8I955X Pro (rev. 1.x) - GIGABYTE) for Vista. My comp supports ATA not SATA.... so I think this is the wrong driver?

    Also, I think to run the comp in compatibility mode I have to already have Win 7 up and running - but the problem is, I haven't got to that point. The drivers are requested during the Win 7 install stage and none are detected when the Wizard does its search, so the install can't proceed.

    Has anyone found a solution to this problem?
