    Automatically connect to bluetooth headset?

Is there any way to ease the process of connecting to a bluetooth headset? I have already paired it and it works fine, but when I restart my computer I have to go through the process of connecting to it again(including inputting the code) before I can use it.

    I'm using Window 7's default bluetooth set-up.

I've got a similar problem in that my Plantronics Voyager 510 connects fine until I close the "Bluetooth Headset Operations and Settings" window (this is the one with the little diagram of the Blurtooth network and where you connect/disconnect the Bluetooth device) - at that point the connection to the Plantronics headset is dropped. This behaviour strikes me as totally illogical, but I don't know whether I'm doing something wrong or it is a bug that will get solved one day. Does anyone have any idea whether its a feature or a bug? Please see the attached picture for the window I'm talking about.

I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on a Dell XPS 420 with built in Bluetooth adaptor.

I can't even find that window? How do I get that?

Also, I think I narrowed it down to connecting the bluetooth to another device. If I used it on my phone, my computer would stop being able to connect and vice-versa. However, just now I tried to connect to my bluetooth headphones without having touched them at all and it would connect but not actually pick up any sound at all. I have no idea how to disconnect them(like I said I can't find the above window) so I have to remove them and readd them each time they do this.

They're Motorola S9-HD's, by the way.

I get that window by double clicking on the Bluetooth icon in my System Tray (or more likely hidden icons in Win7) and then right mouse clicking on the headset icon in the window that comes up and selecting control - the device is the PLT 510 as shown below. Its a Plantronics Voyager 510 device.

    dustyshouri,
You may want to see if there is an update for your Bluetooth software, any that I have that came with my devices had software included and some are better than others.

Do you see it if you go to "Devices and Printers" on the right of your Start menu. Then right click on the Bluetooth Headset - you should see the same thing.

Nope, this is all I see:

My bluetooth device software is not so swift, and I really didn't want to download any third-party software for bluetooth as I had thought Windows 7 handled bluetooth way better... my problem is resolved but now I'm curious about this lack of control(and any way to actually disconnect my headset!).

The problem seems to have resolved itself. Though every so often I have to delete the device and readd it to get it to be recognized properly. Windows will show that it's connected, but the headphones don't actually receive any sound.
