W7 doesn't allow Asus mobo disc. How can I get around t

I have Windows 7 RC beta being used with an Asus P5Q-E motherboard and 4g's of RAM.
When I try to install the applications on the Asus disc, which include things like fan mangement and an overclocking utility, Windows 7 gives me an error message stating that disc does not support the OS. 'WNT_6.1P_32_MCE'.
How can I get around this problem?
I can't use compatability mode because the disc is stopped as soon as it is scanned by Windows 7.
Thanks.

Hi Halfbaked, Go in to " COMPUTER "and you will see the cd drive, right click it and you will get the options, right click the setup, and use the compatibility option. Compatibility Mode

I personally wouldn't bother with the CD, it's probably outdated anyway.

Go here and type your model no. in the top left, follow the results to your model and it'll bring up a box asking for your OS. Choose Windows 7 (I have tried it and it's there) and you should then be able to download all the latest updates and utilities.

Hope this helps.

My asus driver disc has two .exe for each driver/tool install. Don't run asussetup.exe run setup.exe for whatever you want to install.

^^ ....And use 'Admin Mode'

But yes, what Dazeon said is accurate. The drivers on disc are provided as a courtesy, they're outdated and it's preferable to get the updated material from the site.

But Asus's latest drivers and downloads are only up to Vista, not Windows 7? And I don't see where it says those drivers will work?....tired of Asus.

This should be a separate thread, if you're looking for drivers for an A8NSLI32 Deluxe.

The nVidia chipset on the board is listed at www.nvidia.com as "legacy", and only drivers through Vista are supplied. That may not encourage Asus to continue supporting the product, as nVidia does not.

The Vista drivers will probably work for Windows 7, although you may have to work around some version checking.
