    keyboard's shift key not working

I'm using windows 7 ultimate and logitech's cordless desktop ex110. nothing seems to be wrong with the software or operating system. first the ctrl, alt and shift key weren't working and it gave me the message that keyboard's batteries need to be charged. i charged it and plugged it in. now eveything works except for the shift key both left and right. i connected it to the another laptop and it still it wouldn't work. it's really difficult without the shift key and i don't want to change my keyboard please help me out thank you

If it wont work on another computer then it's definitely the keyboard. Maybe you can pop off the key to clean it out and inspect it.
