I've formated a couple of thumb drives in NTFS with no problems. Plug the drive in, right click the icon and select format. In the window that opens go to the file system drop down and select NTFS. It should be noted that if windows doesn't think the drive is fast enough for ready boost I don't think changing the file system will make any difference. If you try it post back with the results as I'd like to know one way or the other.

Q about formatting USB Thumb Drives
I just quick formated one 8GB and a few 2GB thumb drives NTFS. They now each have 37.3MB of used space showing up under properties. Really? 37MB for a file table? Is this common/normal? They were originally FAT32 and had 0MB used space under properties.
