Windows 7: Lifebook win 7 upg usb cd issues

Prelim Infomation:
-Using Fujitsu Lifebook t5010
-Windows 7 32 Bit
-Checked & Clean of all viruses and spyware
-4 GB Ram, Intel 2.66 ghz core duo processor
-Very new comp

I recently upgraded my windows vista to windows 7, and while i had no difficulties during the upgrade, once upgraded none of my usb drives work and my cd rom drive is not recognized.
-All driver updates fail no matter what i plug in
-Device manager continually refeshes every 3-4 seconds
-CD/DVD rom drive does not show up in "My Computer" and driver fails to install
-Both USB and CD/DVD Drive show up in bios so they are plugged in so to speak

Because of this i now have no method of inputing info into my comp, no flash, external or cds to go back to windows vista or use a recovery disk

Thank you for the help, these forums are a lifesaver!

But a fresh install is not an option. Any ideas for a fix? Also every couple of seconds it makes a sound, which coincides with the device manager refreshes.

Try this:
Your CD drive or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs
Your CD or DVD drive cannot read or write media
The CD drive or the DVD drive does not work as expected on a computer that you upgraded to Windows Vista
