lxeacoms.exe "Printer Communication System" CPU usage

I recently purchased a Lexmark S305 printer and have it installed on my home network. The printer works fine, but I noticed that it has an associated process, lxeacoms.exe, that climbs up to 50% CPU usage (I suspect that if this were a single-core machine, it would go to 100%, as it never goes above 50). I let it run for a while to see if it would stop, but after 30 minutes, this process was still going at 50% CPU load. When I click "Go to Service(s)" in Task Manager, I see that it's the Printer Communication Service.

Does anyone know why this process is so busy, or even what it does, and if I can permanently disable it without affecting the network printer?

    Thanks.

You could try Right clicking the process > Choose Set Priority > Low

This way... hopefully.. the cpu usage will only jump when you are using it

Thanks, I'll give that a shot.

Any other suggestions, in case that fails?
