sorry, i don't have any more ideas.
i fear there is something wrong with your windows install if you can't get other hardware to work either.
windows 7 really isn't this bad!
as it's a fresh install, i would reformat and start again if it was my machine, and install all drivers first, before installing AV software or anything else. just make sure you have the drivers downloaded and saved in a safe location before formatting.
once it all works, i'm sure you will grow to love your new os.

Hi all, thanks for getting back to me. Here's an update.<br><br><ul><li>Micky - I tried to install under compatability mode, no luck. I also tried turning off the windows firewall and Kaspersky.
