Ok gang I have an odd one.
Here's what we have:
- Actiontec PK5000 Modem/Router [Qwest Business]
- Three Hp DV6500s, 2 Windows 7 Pro, 1 Windows Vista Prem SP2
- Dymo LabelWriter 450 Twin Turbo
- Dymo LabelWriter Print Server
I've tried contacting Dymo and had little help.
We use the 450TT on all three machines using the print server and on occasion, the ability to print to it stops. Pinging the print server works just fine as well as accessing it's admin panel via a browser. When it stops printing, the 450TT starts feeding and retracting the label very erratically and prints what could represent static on a TV on a section the label and freezes. The advance button does not work nor does the label roll out completely. We have to power cycle the printer AND server in order to print to it again.
Sometimes, we have to reinstall EVERYTHING Dymo on one of the Win 7 Pro machines in order to print as well [usually both events don't happen at the same time]
Sharing the printer on one machine over the network works just fine 100% of the time.
Could this be the Dymo print server? If so, what would you recommend as an alternative ethernet/USB print server that is Dymo friendly?
