    If you want better performance, I would not focus on the CPU but rather on the disk. A good SSD for the OS (even a 30GB will suffice) will give you a lot more of a performance boost than a CPU upgrade. This is an example for $110 but they have sold for as low as $79.95. There are, of course, a lot of other options.

    I like that benchmark tool, been using it for a while.

    Would be nice if they would keep adding to it, but it's still pretty good now.

Hi-yah everyone, I've got a 64 bit system, and I'm just wondering the things 64 bit can do over 32 bit. I know 32 bit maxes out a 3.5 gigs, so with 64 bit I know you can use all 4 gb for my system, but what are other good things about the x64 architecture? I like asking you guys because you make it...
Ok I am posting this because later this week i plan on upgrading my phenom II X4 2.8 OC'ED TO 3.22 EITHER A 965 BE OR 1090T Obviously the 965 is cheaper by 100.00 but honestly do i even need a Hex cpu ? My specs are listed and just want to know what would be a smarter buy i am currently gamming...

I am currently running an Athlon 64 X2 @ 2.7GHz. I notice newer CPUs don't run at a much faster clockspeed but have 3, 4 or 6 cores. If I went to a 4 core CPU at say 3GHz by what % would I expect my PC to speed up? And with 6 cores? Thanks for your responses.
