or how to change the one I don't know???LOL

I tried every passdword I could remember nothing works, and NO i dide't make a password back-up disk, I didn't know it could be done until reading before posing this question!!

uhmm have you seen the drive on system when booted ?

and did you adjust the boot settings and sata in bios ?

and also in order to use a raw drive when booted has to be formated first then it will be usable maybe that is why it is locked because i never heard of you needing a password unless you have a boot password

also the password thing might be case sensitive

have you tryed to boot that drive in front of the main drive to maybe get a promt ?

im not sure if that would work but i would try anything at this point if that doesn't work i would go the the hdd maker site and read up on how this hdd is supposed to be set up

is this sata 1 or 2 and does your mainboard support any of those ?

what is the hdd drive make too i will look up the issue and see if i can come up with something

maybe type the password of the admin ? log on ?????

ok i know i had to do this before im using barracuda it is not a password you need you need to go to installed hardware right click on the drive with the caution mark on it then from there go to properties and you should be able to enable the drive and make it show up

i knew this sounded familliar i had the same type situation but you unlock it after you already have booted then you click on the caution then the list of things you can do will be in properties
