    acer 5740g bluetooth problem...

    Hello!

I have a problem with my notebook, which is an Acer 5740g. It has a built-in bluetooth. I've instaled the device driver ( the os is windows 7 ultimate) from the cd containing the notebook drivers (for xp, vista, and 7). I used it two times to transfer some photos from my phone ( nokia 5610 xpress music) and all worked fine.

    I did something like this:
1 - press the bluetooth button to turn it on.
2 - activate bluetooth on the phone and select the files needed to transfer them to notebook and selected transfer via bluetooth. The phone searched for other bluetooth devices, found my notebook and then transfered the files ( photos).
3- on the notebook screen appeared a pop-up asking me to allow or deny receiving the files. I granted permission.
4- after doing that I press again the bluetooth button to disable it.

I used this method two times and all worked fine.

But today, when I turnt on the bluetooth device on my notebook, my phone couldn't find any bluetooth device. Strange... Also, I clicked on the "Open settings" tab of the bluetooth device on my noteboook and nothing happened.

Briefly, I think my bluetooth does not work, but I'm pretty sure that the "hardware" is fine. I suspect a driver problem, although every time I turn on the device it says "the device driver was installed successfully".

    Can anyone help me?

Thanks and sorry for writing a lot.

    Hello,
I'm back...Well, I tried unnistalling my current bluetooth driver software and installing the one which appear to be "the latest" at their official web-site. I found that this is identically (same version) to the one I've installed from the cd that came up with the notebook.

Do you have any suggestion that might resolve my problem? Because I used the built-in bluetooth two times and all worked fine. Now, the notebook isn't detected by phone's blutooth and the "Open settings" tab ( right click on the bluetooth icon tray) does nothing.

    Your help wold be appreciated.
    Thank you in anticipation.

I saw where someone on another forum asked the question with the same model. Why when each time he reboots his machine bluetooth is disable and has to manually be turned on?
