Hey everyone. Recently I was tasked to replace the old Hitachi Deskstar in my parents' computer (Windows 7 Professional x64) with an Intel 80GB X25-M SSD & Western Digital 1TB Green drive. Due to the lack of SATA ports, however, I was forced to purchase a SATA controller alongside it. To not break the budget, I purchased a JMicron JMB363-based SATA controller to put into a free PCI-E slot. After installing all the components and installing Windows 7, I realized that the controller drivers
needed updating as Windows 7 would consistently freeze on boot. After updating the drivers, however, now I get a different behavior than before. The computer takes a long time to resume from sleep. About in the range of 20-30 seconds. This was never an issue before the driver
update. Anybody have any ideas how to speed this up?
