    please help dvd burner issue


    hi
    ive just bought a new pc with a hp gh40l dvd writer the problem is
    my stand alone dvd player will now not play the media,but its the same media
    i used with my old pc (verbatim) and worked totally fine and my drive on my pc will play the media please help

    I hope you know keyboards have a period key. But besides that, have you installed the right drivers for your correct architecture and dvd drive?

    i have a HP assistant which i have ran and there seems to be no issues.
    like i say the burnt media plays on my pc and is visible when i open the disc

    what i mean to say is that when i click on the drive with media in it, it displays whats on the media

    Try using windows media player/center instead of stand alone player. Unless those are totally two different things. Becuase i dont know what stand alone player is

    Are you saying you tried to burn a video but it does not work on a DVD player? If so I can tell you how to fix it.

    I believe the op is trying to burn a movie on pc then watch it on tv using a dvd player
