Hi Grahame. Check out this link.
Lexmark 2500 drivers for Windows 7 RC Build 7100 - Vista Forums
I have an x1150 that wouldn't work with Windows 7, but with the Vista x64 driver it would (and I am running windows 7 x86)!
That was found after a google search, but unfortunately, is on a Vista forum instead of here where it is most needed.

It is important to note that Microsoft was smart about the driver issues. Almost all vista drivers will work on Windows 7 for most devices. Sometimes you must run the driver installation under Windows Vista compatibility mode. Worked for my G5 Laser mouse.

MasterMegaManX-when I first tried to install my driver I did it in Compatibility mode (using a Vista 32 bit driver). It worked, but there were some issues (my printer kept saying there was a paper jam when there clearly wasn't- annoying to say the least!)
I still have some issues and found that there is one feature with the printer that isn't working with Windows 7, but it's not a big deal.
I am sufficiently happy with Windows 7 that I can handle a few driver issues.

I had the same issue. I followed instructions from another post: download Vista 64 drivers from Lexmark, rename .exe to .zip, extract files to separate folder, change compatibility mode on the setup.exe to run as Vista app, save that setting and run setup.exe as Administrator.

Lexmark X74-X75 printer :-)
Hi all, I am not having any issues with the Lexmark printer just wanted to share some surprising info: For giggles I decided to see if Windows 7 could use this printer as a network printer. The Lexmark printer is hooked up to a Compaq XP Pro desktop. Since all my pc's see each other...

No Lexmark FAX Printer
When I install the drivers for the Lexmark X9575 AIO printer on XP or Vista (x64), it also installs a Lexmark FAX printer which I can use from Word or other programs to automatically send a FAX from my PC. I now have Win 7 x64 RTM installed and there's no Lexmark FAX printer listed. I tried...
