Also, the other stick won't work either because it only supports 1gig per slot.

that is my stupidity for you....I could've swore this was the one made by intel that's why I picked it up. I did put 2X1gb sticks of pc-6400 in it and it still wouldn't boot. Or with one of the kingston sticks and one pc-6400 stick.

I'm officially never buying an acer. Since my first post an hour ago I've been looking for the spec sheet on their website and only just now found it.

Oh, heres another good answer. It only supports 2gb of ram at the most. Leave the bios alone. I think we got an answer.
2GB? I saw 4gb max either both of us are tired, or we're getting 2 different mobos here..

Nevermind i saw the spec sheet - yup 2GB max. case closed.

Buy a new mobo is all I can suggest. If you live in the USA newegg.com is the cheapest place to go for computer parts.

ewww...so intel makes one that is awesome and acer makes one that is uber cheap? The boards chipset is intel? What a terrible motherboard to support a core 2 duo and not over 2gb of memory.
