3TB Data Inaccessible due to Boot files

Problem Description: During Ubuntu installation, my 4TB RAID came up at the top of the list because one of the hard drive cords is put on the SATA0 Port. Ubuntu automatically put boot files into this RAID drive, which became a System drive, hence making files inaccessible. Can't access this RAID both in Windows and in Ubuntu.

Symptoms:

1. In Windows OS, the RAID drive does not show up in My Computer, but appears in Disk Management.

2. In Disk Management, can't assign a Volume letter and make it appear in My Computer. Right clicking the RAID disk in Disk Management, only "Help" is available in the panel. Right clicking a normal disk (i.g. C: ), the panel has normal options: Open, Explore, Mark Partition as Active, Change Drive Letter and Paths, Shrink Volume, Properties, and Help.

3. In BIOS, the RAID is normal; data is not lost. In OS, Disk Management shows the RAID disk is 100% free.

Question: How may I access the data in RAID?

Just bought a 4tb external hard drive. Willing to delete or format RAID if data is first accessible.

Why on earth would you install Ubuntu without even researching how to Dual Boot it in complicated UEFI mode with an even more complicated RAID storage array left plugged in?

It looks like you've messed up your RAID with no data detected in Disk Mgmt. You can run Partition Wizard Partition Recovery Wizard - Video Help to see if it can find the missing partition, even try to rescue files using Copy & Paste - in Windows Recovery Console or Paragon Rescue Kit Free Edition 11.0 Free CD.

If the UEFI boot partition has somehow been moved to the RAID as shown then Win7 may not boot if you remove it. You can try to repair it by unplugging the RAID to run Startup Repair from DVD or Repair CD several times to see if Win7 can boot itself. If not I'd back up its files ahead as you may need to reinstall Win7 in UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) - Install Windows 7 with - Windows 7 Forums.
